Sian manages the social media and content side of Thomas the Baker's online presence, keeping up with local industry news and interacting with customers. She actually joined the company in 2008 working holidays off from school and university in Confectionary and the head office before abandoning ship to study Classics at Newcastle University. She had a brief stint in teaching Latin and Ancient Greek to unwieldy teenagers for a year, and now works full time for a digital marketing agency in Ripon, managing our social presence on the side.
Sian was brought up in the baking tradition of the Thomas family, and will vouch for her mum's homemade cakes over our own any day, and now likes to experiment with new recipes at home, many of which are "absorbed" into our current ranges.
It's safe to say that Sian likes to keep busy! In addition to her own personal blogging about fashion, her daily life and Disney obsession, you'll be unlikely to find her sitting still unless she has a book or laptop in her hands. You'll be far more likely to find her creating her own clothes at the sewing machine, practising yoga, singing with the local choir and volunteering with Girlguiding - didn't we say she was a busy person?!
