One of the founder members of Thomas the Baker, Gareth was lured away from baking industry into the construction in his late 20s. Following completion of his apprenticeship with a master craftsman, Gareth developed an enviable reputation for his stonemasonry and joinery skills which remain in demand today. Gareth now runs his own successful building business as well as being a Director and Board Member of Thomas the Baker.
Not one to rush into decisions, Gareth decided to settle down and get married in his late 40s. He is now a happy and contented husband and father, much to his mother's relief.
Perfectionist is probably the best word to describe Gareth. If a job is not up to his high standards, he will knock it down at his own expense and start again without a second thought.
If it has an engine, then it's got Gareth's attention. He has tried it all: rally driving, helicopters, power boats, motorbikes, sports cars - the faster the better. Why not throw in a bit of skiing and scuba to top off his list of hobbies. In his 'spare time', Gareth also enjoys a bit of cabinet making and classic car restoration.
